World No. 20 Emma Raducanu lost to Wang Xinyu in the second round of the Linz tournament, 1-6, 7-6, 5-7. The British player lost her third of five matches after winning the US Open.
She took a medical break in the third set due to a right hip problem before the Chinese woman served for the match at 5-4. Radukanu made a comeback break, but gave up two straight games after that.
Wang Xinyu will now play Alison Risk.
